Hey Fine Ones!
Hey Fine Ones!
It's now officially spring. Yee Haw! If not for a few pesky no-see-ums, this would be Paradise on earth. And yes... we ARE amid the first annual Bikini Challenge. With some more great workouts, a good wax, possibly some spray tan and teeny new suit, we are getting close to summer readiness and (kudos to y'all) are already WAY above average.
And that's all great, and we will continue to progress as a group towards that goal. But it always works better for me personally when I maximize each workout (and each day in general) by setting an individual, concrete and achievable goal for which to strive. Something specific. After running a few post holiday 5ks and challenging myself to cross train a bit more...I am a little at sea. There are mountains to climb, old pairs of jeans to get into, an English Channels to Swim, a class reunions to shock, but which one? or something completely new? It needs to be something... SOMETHING BIG!
While sussing out what new challenge will motivate me for the next few months, I encourage you to do the same. Find an enterprise to ignite your passion. The goal you take on will underlie all your daily activities and enrich them. And it doesn't have to be purely physical. Whether you set a goal to get right with an old friend, get closer to God, complete a correspondence course in quantum mechanics or to compete in a triathlon, you can focus the time we spend dancing in getting you stronger and closer to achieving your desired result.
Let me know what you come up with and I will do the same.
Peace, Love and Hip Hop,
Angel
AND Sisters, Here's a giant Get Well shout out to Dayle. Much love to you, D, and can't wait to have you back.
